    20 week ultrasound

Baby!  Yes, we had our 20 week ultrasound today, but no, we didn’t find out what we’re having.  I have my guess, but I’m keeping that to myself for now 🙂  But I honestly didn’t get a good look at the ultrasound, so my guess is not based on that.  Anyway, the whole appointment went well.  I’ve gained about 6 pounds so far.  Right on track and it’s getting hard to hide this bump!  The Dr. signed a paper for the cruise company so that I could travel.  They wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be more than 24 weeks while on the cruise – in case the baby decided to come early.  The ultrasound looked great  – we saw all the important parts: eye sockets, 4 chamber heart, 2 kidneys, 3 vessel cord (good), brain, 2 arms, 2 legs, feet, hands…  we saw the baby swallowing, and kicking, and rolling around.  The tech measured the head circumference, abdominal circumference, and femur length.  All measured around 20 weeks, except the leg bone which measured around 21 weeks – what did I say before?  It’s going to be a big baby!  At least tall 🙂  Like Dad.

Speaking of Dad, Sean got to feel the baby moving on Tuesday night!  It was only once, but it was a good one 🙂  We’re both so happy he finally got to feel the moving around that I’ve been feeling for 3 weeks now!  YAY!

We had a nice dinner last night with some friends who are expecting their first baby in November.  We got to catch up on all things pregnancy related, as well as all the other stuff as well.  I’ll be going to her baby shower next weekend.  We’ll be registering at Target this weekend, between watching FSU kick some butt again, kayaking (hopefully), beer brewing activities, and relaxing – at some point.  Sometime we’re going to have to start rearranging the baby room… not sure when that’s going to happen!

Enjoy the pictures!  Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
