October was a pretty busy month. And luckily by the end of it I was feeling mostly better. The first weekend we spent in Tallahassee for GG’s birthday. We also took that opportunity to tell our peeps up there about baby #2 and start spreading the news in general. We were 11 weeks then, so we figured it was close enough to spill the beans 🙂
The 17th we had our 12 week appointment and got to have another ultrasound! That was exciting. Haley seems to be happy and excited about the new baby – I hope that continues! She loves babys in general – so I think that’s going to help. Baby is right on track and everything is looking good.
The 23rd saw our house being tented for termites 🙁 The weeks leading up to that were pretty terrible. I still wasn’t feeling quite like myself and I had to pack up everything that could be consumed and get it our of the house. In addition to other items that I felt didn’t need to be exposed to poison gas. It was challenging, but we got it done. And now hopefully we won’t have to worry about termites again. Haley and I spent most of that week at my parents riverhouse with my mom and Sean spent the week nites with a friend from work. He then joined us up North to celebrate Granddad’s birthday. We got to take a boat ride 🙂 which Haley loves – and so do we!
Of course we did the whole pumpkin patch thing. Haley had fun running through all the pumpkins and then picking out 2 special little ones just for her. She and Sean had a good time carving the pumpkin – Haley helped scoop out the seeds which she thought was fun. We went Trick-or-Treating with our wonderful group of neighbors – always so much fun. And Haley got the hang of it right away. At the first house she tried to get extra candy to give to Mommy! She is just the sweetest little girl. Little did she know she would be sharing most of her candy with Mommy and Daddy because she doesn’t eat that crap yet! We went as the Flinstone’s and Haley made a really cute Pebbles. And Sean made a pretty good Fred – although he doesn’t really have the waist for it! I even ‘dyed’ my hair red – that was a first for me. I’ve never colored my hair in any way – I was nervous it wouldn’t come out! But it did 🙂
