  1. Week of Life #25: July 17th to July 23rd – Trip to the Riverhouse

    25 Weeks old

We had a pretty good week this week. Haley is sitting up so good now! She even stops herself from falling over most of the time. Her hair is starting to really grow – it’s so cute, but I’m afraid that I’m going to miss her bald little head πŸ™‚ Just like I know I’m going to miss her gummy smile when she gets some teeth in there. She’s doing much better with tummy time, but still only likes it for about a maximum of 10 minutes. She loves to bounce in her exersaucer and her doorway jumper. She has started eating not only rice cereal, but other ‘solids’ as well… and I think she’s really liking it – even though she makes some pretty funny faces πŸ™‚ She’s been much better recently about napping – taking longer and less naps during the day. That has been a life changer for both of us! She’s much more happy and I’m getting more done while she’s asleep (like the blog!). She’s still sleeping in our room at night – I just can’t seem to move her out yet! I’m going to miss her… but I know it needs to be done sometime soon I think.

Tuesday we had Auntie Dawn come over and babysit and Sean & I went to a concert. β€œThe Last Summer on Earth” tour – with Bare Naked Ladies (my favorite!), Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and Cracker. It was a lot of fun. It was at the Ask Gary Amphitheater, which is pretty cool. The seats are under a type of roof (which was good because it had rained earlier that day and our seats would have been wet) and it seemed like all seats had a pretty good view of the stage. We had a really great time πŸ™‚ And Haley did great with Auntie Dawn – of course.

Thursday my mom came back to town so that she could babysit Haley on Friday. We did some shopping and then met Sean at home for lunch. Friday, Sean & I worked and then that night we all went to my parents riverhouse for the first time in a while for an overnight stay.

We had a great weekend at the riverhouse. We went on a boat ride, swam in a friend’s pool, had fun with Haley’s Gammy & Granddad, and relaxed a lot. Sean was not feeling well, so that was a bummer, but it didn’t hurt our fun πŸ™‚ We also had a small photo shoot for the picture that I’m going to enter into the Gerber baby photo contest! More info on that later!!

    That’s it for now…
