    26 weeks

Ok, let me start this off by saying that I’ve fixed all the pictures on this site.  So, now when you click on a picture you don’t get a life size shot of it on the screen!  It will be bigger, but not monstrous 🙂  Ok- on to baby stuff!  Yay for 26 weeks!!  I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – every week more is a great thing.  Even though the weeks seems to be flying by!  I wish that would stop!  Oh well.  It is what it is.  We’ve had a busy week this week -most of it the last two days!

I did get a couple more roofing estimates and we’re still waiting on a couple more 🙂  Nothing wrong with getting all the information you can, right?  Friday night we went bowling with some friends – that was really fun.  We hadn’t seem them in a little while and I hadn’t been bowling in a LONG time!  In fact, I really think all the Wii bowling we’ve been doing has been a disservice to me in my ‘real’ bowling game.  Definitely uses different muscles!  I was really terrible, but it was still fun 🙂

Saturday – oh, boy!  What a day!  We started out planning on going to IKEA nice and early to avoid the rush.  Well, that didn’t happen.  I heard back from a woman on Craigslist that was selling a refrigerator, so we drove about 40 minutes to pick that up (we wanted an extra one for the garage), came home and unloaded that.  Then Sean heard back from a guy on Craigslist that was selling a smaller server rack (he has a gigantic one that won’t fit though the doorway into our office!), so we drove about 40 minutes to pick that up, drove home and unloaded it. Then we drove the 50 minutes to IKEA and picked out 5 bookcases for our den, loaded those up, drove home, unloaded them.  All this was in our wonderful neighbor’s truck – thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us borrow it!!  We never would have been able to do all that without the truck!  After unloading the bookcases, we left again – to meet my parents for dinner about 45 minutes away to celebrate my dad’s birthday.  Dinner was nice and it was really good to see my dad for his birthday (nice to see my mom too!).  I’m so glad that we live close enough to our families to see them on a semi regular basis.  Anyway, after dinner we drove home and then just crashed on the couch!!  It was a very busy day and lots of time was spent in the car.  But we felt so good about everything we got done.

Today we got up, built one of the bookshelves, then had massages 🙂  Then we came home and built two more bookshelves.  They are looking really good and we’re very please with our decision to get them.  It is really going to pull that room together and make it look more like a room instead of a storage area.  In addition to all that, it also means that we will be able to start working on the office (and then the baby’s room!).  So, we have two more shelves to build today and then all the organizing can begin!

I don’t think we have too much going on this week – except working on the house!  I think I will pre-register at the hospital sometime this week and hopefully make our final decision on which cord blood bank to use.  I’ve had quite a few recommendations for pediatricians, so I guess I’ll call a few this week and try to set up meet and greet appointments.  That should keep me pretty busy – in addition to working 40 hours at my regular job!  Time is going by so quick!

Oh- almost forgot to write about the baby!  ‘He’ has been doing lots of somersaults recently.  More so than kicking, but still kicking too!  And I forgot to say that at my last Dr. appointment the heart rate was in the 150’s still.  I’m definitely looking more and more pregnant – not really able to hide it anymore.  Not that I would want to 🙂 because I don’t want to hide it!  I tried to get some video the other day of my tummy ‘rolling’ around, but it didn’t work out too well.  When I’m a little bigger I think it will come out better on video.  Guess that’s it for now!

Book I finally finished this week: ‘Lost in Shangri-La: A True Story of Survival, Adventure, and the Most Incredible Rescue Mission of World War II’ – I have to be honest.  I would not every recommend this book at all.  I hate to say that!  I love reading, but this book was not good.  I wanted to like it because it is a true story and happened during WWII and it seems like a very interesting event.  However, the way in which this book was written was just not good – it was not told in regular story fashion, the author kept interjecting tidbits from 5 years before the actual crash about what I would call minor characters.  That is the short reason why I disliked this book!  Like I said, the actual events are pretty interesting and cool, but this is not the book to read about them.  Sean is reading the ‘Game of Thrones’ series and I suppose that’s what I will start on next.

Our little one is now the size of an eggplant (wt. Between 1.5 & 2 lbs. & length between 13 & 14 in.)!
