Ok- 4 months in! And doing great 🙂 I did get the doppler on Friday and got to try it out that night -YAY! It works great and has already done it’s job- making me much less stressed! Plus, it’s just so much fun listening to our baby’s heart beat… I could just do it all day long.

We went to visit Sean’s family this weekend- his brother turned 25 last week. I was tired, but wanted to see everyone – so off we went. I visited with two good friends from my NICU days and that was super fun. We always have a lot to catch up on. My one friend who is still in the NICU was telling us about a baby they had a while ago that weighed 10 oz! The baby lived for 4 days and then ended up passing away- but wow, 10 oz is only a little more than ½ a pound! It was amazing the baby was able to survive for that long. I really miss the NICU and the tiny, amazing babies that I took care of there – they are true survivors and taking care of them is the best feeling in the world.

So it turns out Sean’s brother had lost his dog on Friday – so we spent some time this weekend on a dog hunt. We ended up getting her back on Sunday, so all ended well and I know Nic was happy to be reunited with his pup. Also exciting this weekend was the return of Sean’s aunt from Africa. She is in the Navy reserve and was called into duty last August. Her time is now up and she had just returned on Thursday, so it was really great to see her reunited with her family. I am continually amazed by, and thankful, for our men and women in the service – true American heroes.

We got home tonight and now I get to work the next four days (10 hour shifts) – really not looking forward to that. But then I get 3 days off. I think we’re going to start working on a budget this weekend for when baby gets here. That should be fun- ha! Wish us luck:) Oh- and Dr. appointment is on Friday- yay! I’m now up 2.5 pounds 🙂  And starting to have a little tummy 🙂

Our little one is now the size of an avocado!

Quote from Sean’s mom after giving us the cutest onesie outfit with puppies on it:

“I know I said I’m not much of a shopper, but I just couldn’t resist!”
