24 weeks
Yay! 24 weeks – I’m so excited!! The chance of survival gets better every week, but 24 is a great number 🙂 The last week was pretty uneventful (I feel like I say that often and then end up writing a lot anyway!). Sean and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary of being together on Friday. It seems like so much longer and at the same time like yesterday that we met at good old Stetson’s. I know that I feel so lucky to have met him and he tells me the same… we’re not perfect people, but we’re perfect for each other 🙂
So, to celebrate, Sean had poker night with his work people and I had a girls night out with a couple of friends! I had so much fun- it’s been a while since I’ve had a girls night and I really needed it. We went out to eat and then came back to the house for some girl talk. It was really great (at least I thought so!)! We agreed that we would be doing it again soon- and I look forward to that.
We got to have dinner with my parents tonight. They were driving through and it was nice to see them for a little bit. We had a great dinner at City Fish – yummy! This was after working much of the day on the den. I’m almost done with getting all that stuff organized and then we can go to Ikea and get some organizing bookshelves. Then on to the office! We also got to Skype with Sean’s parents tonight, so we got all our ‘parental visiting’ in!
I’ve got a whole list of things that we have to start working on (other than the stuff we’ve already started working on!). I’ve got a couple pediatrician recommendations, so I suppose I will have to start calling them soon. We’re also trying to get a new roof in the next month or so, so I’ve been working on estimates for that. I also need to reserve a photographer for maternity pictures if I want to do that. We’re also thinking about saving cord blood… so, that’s just a short list of what’s coming up very quickly! Anyway, I’ve got an OB appointment on Thursday – let you know about that later 🙂 Oh, and I’ve gained a total of 10 pounds now. Still right on target 🙂
Our little one is now about the size of an ear of corn (almost 12 inches long & over a pound now)!
