This was both girls’ first airplane trip! And first time seeing snow! We left very early on Tuesday, March 1. We flew from Tampa to La Guardia and then to Salt Lake City. The girls did awesome! It was a very early morning for them (and for us!) and they were great. It was fun to see them at the airport for the first time and seeing the planes up close for the first time too.
The first day we were there we got groceries and got our skis 🙂
The second day Sean wanted to try and teach Haley to ski himself while Gammy was watching Lily for us. It was… interesting 😉 She has very good balance, but first time on skis and on slippery snow and being 4 – just wasn’t working for us! She took a lesson the next day and loved it! If we were staying longer, we would have signed her up for another one.
Sean, Granddad and I skied most mornings while Gammy took care of Haley & Lily. They had a blast! We went ice skating one afternoon and tubing another. We took a horse and sleigh ride into the mountains, which was beautiful. We had a snowball fight and made snow angels. There wasn’t enough of the right kind of snow for snow men – so that was pretty much the only thing we didn’t do that was on our list – pretty good! My mom and I had a morning out for my birthday, complete with shopping and food 🙂 Sean & I had a date night. We got to see the snow falling. Sean even found a CrossFit! And we ate a lot!
It was such a wonderful trip. I can’t really say enough positive things about it. The girls did great. We had awesome family time with Gammy & Granddad. We can’t wait to go back!
